Let’s highlight a truth and debunk a few myths featuring nutrition, strength training, and weight loss!

I am what I eat!

Can we agree this really is the truth, and how we feel each day is the evidence?

How often do you believe this statement represents you in a way you feel proud of who you would be, if you were what you ate?

Think back to yesterday, and explore your food choices-could you have done something better? Let’s start to identify those opportunities, and make a plan to start small and build.

Benefits of a healthy eating habit:

∞     Reduces risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes

∞     Boosts your immune & digestive systems

∞     Supports weight loss and maintenance

Lifting weights will make me bulky!

We’re going to focus on building lean muscle, and let go of that persistent and lingering fat through movement!

It’s true that we could lift weights to bulk up, but why? We’re not competing, we’re just trying to get in touch with our own body again, and feel good in our skin! So for us, this statement is false-and we’ll build the right program for you together.

Benefits of Strength Training:

∞     Building lean muscle

∞     Strengthening joints

∞     Supports & increases weight loss efforts

∞     Improved heart health

∞     Enhanced mood & mental health

∞     Feeling stronger & more energetic

I don’t have time to start something new right now!

Well now, true or false?

I’m referring to the thought, “I don’t have time to focus on me, I have too much else going on!” Same meaning as what I said above, right?

Now, think about the statement in the actual picture. It won’t be easy, but it sure will be worth it. So do you want to keep putting it off?

Benefits of losing weight:

∞     Emotional & physical wellness

∞     Increased confidence & energy

∞     Improved metabolic function and reduction of disease risks (type 2 diabetes, heat disease).

∞     Better sleep & hormonal balance

∞     Reduced joint pain

∞     All of the the health benefits above can begin at 5% weight loss, so let’s start working toward that!
